The 8th ICPC Asia West Regional Programming Contest – Kabul Site

Kateb University, in collaboration with the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC), is honored to host the 8th ICPC Asia West Regional Programming Contest – Kabul Regional Site. This prestigious competition brings together talented young programmers from universities and institutes across Afghanistan to showcase their problem-solving, algorithmic, and teamwork skills on an international platform.

About the Contest

The ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest) is the world’s largest and most respected programming competition for university students. Each year, the contest engages thousands of teams worldwide, challenging them to solve complex algorithmic problems under strict time constraints. The Kabul Regional Site, as part of the Asia West Region, provides Afghan students with the opportunity to compete at an international level, represent their institutions, and potentially qualify for the ICPC World Finals.

Theme: “Code It, Build It, Inspire It!”

This year’s theme highlights the power of coding as not just a technical skill, but also as a creative and innovative tool to develop real-world solutions. Students will be tested on their logical thinking, algorithm design, and programming efficiency, while also experiencing the spirit of teamwork and collaboration.

Registration Deadline: 22nd Mizan 1404 (October 2025)

Contest Date: 1–2 Aqrab 1404 (October/November 2025)

Eligibility & Participation

Teams consist of three students and one coach from the same university.

Each team must be officially registered through their institution.

Contestants must be currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students within the eligibility criteria of ICPC rules.
