Overview

The first Practice Bootcamp Session was held on September 17, 2025 (27 Sunbula 1404) at the main campus building, receiving an enthusiastic response from students of Kateb University and several other universities. At the opening of the event, Mr. Mohammad Dawood Forotan welcomed the participants and provided an overview of the bootcamp’s structure, emphasizing the importance and positive impact of ICPC competitions. He further assured that the administration of Kateb University is fully committed to ensuring the successful organization of these competitions. A total of 16 teams from public and private universities participated in this session, competing in a friendly and motivating environment. The bootcamp took place in the Computer Science Laboratory of the Faculty of Computer Science at the main Kateb University campus (Darulaman Road). Preparations for the event began on September 5, 2025 (15 Sunbula 1404), organized by the Faculty of Computer Science and the Technical Team (comprising students from the same faculty) under the supervision of the Information Technology Department, ensuring a high-quality event. At the conclusion of this trial round, the results were announced as follows: 1st Place: RuntimeTerror Team – Gharjistan University 2nd Place: CodeCraft Team – Kabul University 3rd Place: Pixel Team – Kateb University Mr. Forotan congratulated the top-performing teams and expressed his appreciation to all participants. He also expressed hope that the experience gained from this phase would help the teams achieve even better results in the second round and perform successfully in the final competition.
